Head Chef – Warwickshire – Gastro Pub - £25,000-30,000

We are looking for a first class Head Chef for our retained client in Warwickshire.
The Company:
Our client own and operate a highly successful group of Gastro Pubs. They are a modern, cutting edge company who believe passionately in great food and friendly service. They use the freshest and best local produce available and are passionate about ethical and quality produce and invest a huge amount of time and money into making sure the ingredients they use are absolutely first class.
The menu is an exciting mix of classics and comfort dishes with a twist. They believe in not overcomplicating things and do not add uncalled for flavours just for the sake of it. They let the quality of the ingredients shine through.
The Head Chef position:
The successful Head Chef will have the opportunity to take on the kitchen in an extremely busy site and will be able to really put their mark on it.
Although the company operate a number of properties you will have full control of the kitchen. This will involve everything from menu planning and design, stock control, health and safety, kitchen hygiene, training and development, recruitment of staff and all the day to day operations of the kitchen.
You will be required to lead a team of six in preparing and serving around 1200 covers a week. Everything is made from scratch.
The Successful Head Chef:
We are looking for the ideal Head Chef to have a first class and traceable background. The successful Head Chef will need to have at least two years experience at a similar level. You will need to have a CV which can prove longevity and commitment. You will also need to be able to deal with volume and the pressure of a busy service. A rosette background could be an advantage, as you will be serving excellent dishes to the highest possible standard where everything is produced from scratch.
If you are a Head Chef who has a “jumpy” CV or do not have previous experience at this level and style then you will not fit the criteria for the role.
You will need to have a focused, determined, calm and proactive approach to work.
The Head Chef package:
£25,000-30,000 salary.
Share of the tips.
